Product Details

This is such a unique skirt suit by Norma Kamali from 1988. It is a red wool with tonal windowpane plaid grid pattern and fun cutouts in the lapels that look like flame licks. The beautiful fitted jacket is a 1940s style, with shoulder pads, large red fabric covered buttons, and three layered pieces of fabric on the sides that are supposed to look like flap pockets. The pencil skirt has a slit in back, and hidden zipper closure center back with a red button closure.

Norma Kamali was heavily inspired by the 1940's and many of her late 1980's pieces reflect that inspiration. We love vintage Norma Kamali and we think she is one of the most influential American designers!
